Our church is one of the most beautiful and most admired in our Diocese. The initiative to have a children’s liturgy group to help our children at their Sunday mass has been very well received. Also more of our parishioners were trained by the Diocese both in pastoral and youth ministry. Over thirty-five people did an adult catechesis course on the new Irish Catholic Catechism over the winter months here in Listowel run by Fr. Sean 0. Sheehy.
Listowel is acclaimed nationally and internationally as a place of literary excellence. Nestled in the northern half of the Diocese of Kerry, along the beautiful coastal N69 route – beautiful Listowel, serenaded night and day by the gentle waters of the River Feale. We are also part of Listowel Pastoral Area along with Lixnaw, Duagh and Moyvane as our neighbouring Parishes. Our Vision is to be a welcoming compassionate faith community, with Christ at its centre, calling forth the gifts of all for the good of the world in praise of God. Should you like to share your gifts by becoming part of one or any of our ministries of our Parish, we would be delighted to facilitate you. Just contact our Parish Office at 068-21188 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The Parish Office, which is open Monday to Friday — 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
You have been very generous to your parish and your priests. This is much appreciated.
When I stop and think about the various activities and the number of people involved, in one way or another in our Parish, be it in the various ministries — or in our schools, hospital / nursing homes, I thank God for the honour and, indeed, privilege of working with you. It is important to acknowledge the rich and vibrant activities in our parish and some of the people responsible for them. ”’Should there be any way you feel we can make our parish a better place, please feel free to contact , me as I will always try to do my best to help. I take this opportunity to thank Denise (Parish Secretary), . Helen & Catherine (sacristans) and the various committees, ministries, all who help in any way and you our parishioners, for the support and generosity that you give to me personally throughout the years i have been here.
